Tilly is at her happiest when she is at the beach looking or different kinds of shells and pebbles. She also has a great imagination, as she discovers when she meets the Magical Mermaid whilst out fishing with her grandpa. But is it her imagination, or is it real? Tilly and the Magical Mermaid Dyslexia Friendly.
Tilly and her two brothers Harrison and George were very excited, Grandma Sue and Grandpa Ed were coming to stay with Uncle Darren and Cassie the dog.
That morning before her grandparents and uncle Darren arrived Tilly looked out of her bedroom window. She did enjoy watching people jogging or walking their dogs along the beach. As Tilly looked out to the sea she could see someone swimming it looked like a young girl but as the girl went under the water Tilly could not believe what she saw. Just then the doorbell rang. “Tilly grandma and grandpa are here” “coming” as Tilly jumped down from the bed. Did I really just see that Tilly said to herself. Tilly jumped back on the bed to check if the girl was still there but she had gone. What was it that Tilly thought she saw?
Children can join in the fun creating their own magic by using their imagination, they can write their own story and be part of the adventure. If they find writing a challenge encourage them to tell you what they would do on their magical adventure and write it down for them they can even tell their story by drawing pictures in beautiful rainbow colours and colouring in the illustrations. The important thing is that they have fun. This is a great way to spend fun time with your children.
Wishing you a magical day!
